Applied Kinesiology

What is Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is often used as an add-on to Chiropractic techniques to broaden the investigation of problem areas.  It is based on the premise that most illness is made up of three different health aspects; these being structural health, chemical health (e.g. toxicity or deficiency) or emotional health such as stress and anxiety.

Structural issues are mostly addressed using standard chiropractic protocols but by using Applied Kinesiology we can go beyond Chiropractic and use muscle testing to identify other areas of imbalance and mechanical defects. Muscle testing can highlight which muscles are weak and how the nervous system is controlling that muscle.

By applying different testing protocols to the individual muscles, Applied Kinesiology can help determine which health aspects are contributing to the problem.  Muscle testing can help highlight organ and gland disfunction, allergies, toxicity and stress levels in the body as well as identify any nutrients that may help the body restore its inner balance.

Applied Kinesiology techniques draw on knowledge of various natural health therapies including acupressure, cranial work, advice on nutritional support, diet, and the use of homeopathic remedies and herbal medicine.
